Yummy, EASY Stuffed Peppers recipe

My pregnant girlfriend (shout out Ashley!) came over one day and saw me making dinner. She instantly said that she had been craving something for a few months and figured out what it was.... Stuffed Peppers! Then she texted me and called all day making sure her recipe was correct. That night she texted me to say that Brian said it was his favorite meal she had ever cooked. She thanked me for a LONG time and continues to ask for more easy recipes.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: (I prefer crockpot)
  4 hours on high
  8 hours on low
or a hour in the oven on 400

Ingredients
1lb of ground beef (per 2 stuffed peppers)
2 peppers (I prefer red)
1 1/2 cups uncooked rice (ANY kind, flavored or not)
tomato sauce (SAUCE, not spaghetti sauce... its always near the crushed canned tomatoes)

Optional Ingredients:
Onion
Garlic

Step 1
Cut the top and center out of the peppers.

Step 2
Combine ground beef, uncooked rice, 1/2 a jar of tomato sauce and your optional ingredients into a bowl.

Step 3
Stuff the combination into each pepper. Be sure to fit as much as you can by pushing out the air.

Step 4
Place the stuffed peppers into the crock pot and pour the remaining tomato sauce onto the peppers. If you happen to have some remaining ground beef combination you can throw that into the crock pot as well.

Step 5
Cook and Enjoy!
